INJURY HALTS MUNETSI

Sports Reporter

MARSHALL MUNETSI was forced out of Stade de Reims’ goalless draw against Lorient on Saturday through injury.

The midfielder apparently picked up a hamstring strain in the first half and was pulled out just before the break.

He started the match to mark his 10th appearance in the French Ligue 1 season.

The Warriors’ international has featured in all Stade de Reims’ games this season, except for Matchday Nine when he missed the action due to suspension.

In the 45 minutes he played on Saturday, Munetsi made 11 passes with an accuracy rate of 84.6 percent.

He also made two attempts on goal, which were, however, off target.

The 26-year-old won four out of five ground duels and lost possession eight times.

According to reports, the star is waiting for a doctor’s report to know the extent of the injury.

Munetsi has been a key player for Reims.

Their next game is on Sunday against Auxerre.
