ZIMBABWE international winger, Khama Billiat, suffered a knee injury ahead of Kaizer Chiefs’ DStv Premiership match against Marumo Gallants.
The forward wasn’t part of coach Arthur Zwane’s starting XI against the Limpopo-based side.
Chiefs continue to struggle after drawing 1-1 away to Marumo in the lone match played on Sunday.
Chiefs confirmed that Billiat’s absence was due to injury.
“The Amakhosi medical room has been rather busy this week and coach Arthur Zwane was forced to make some changes in the line-up and the bench when selecting his team for the encounter.
“Defender Reeve Frosler is still out injured.
“He is joined by attacker Khama Billiat, who suffered a knee injury. “Siyabonga Ngezana and Cole Alexander have been ruled out due to a bout of flu, while midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, has been given time off by the technical team as he’s dealing with a family bereavement,” reads the statement.
Kaizer Chiefs host SuperSport United in their next encounter and have gone for a third straight league match without victory.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe international defender Onismo Bhasera, was on target for SuperSport in their 2-1 win away at Maritzburg.
