Insimbi ZeZhwane to headline Workers’ Day celebrations

Workers are set to celebrate Workers’ Day in style in Bulawayo, with popular rhumba group Insimbi ZeZhwane headlining a special event.

The show at a city nightspot, dubbed “Workers’ Day” will feature Insimbi ZeZhwane alongside Godolude and Friendly B Brothers.

Organisers have promised a full night of entertainment. DJ Keitho said the event is expected to attract a strong turnout, particularly from workers in the industrial and mining sectors. “As Friday will be a public holiday, we wanted something special for the workers. Insimbi ZeZhwane bring that authentic sound and energy that people relate to after a long day at work,” he said.

He said the group is expected to deliver a vibrant live performance, blending traditional sounds with modern rhythms, a style that has made them a favourite on the local scene.

Organisers say the event is not only about music, but also about creating a relaxed space for people to connect, unwind, and celebrate Workers’ Day.

Interest in the show is already high, with many fans eager to see Insimbi ZeZhwane perform live. Their appearance is seen as a major highlight, further cementing their reputation as one of the region’s top live acts.
