Tshibilika and Maskandi music lovers in the mining town of Gwanda are set to be treated with an early Christmas gift as Insimbi ZeZhwane and South Africa based Maskandi muso Zinjaziyamluma will clash at Phoenix Tshisanyama tonight (29 November).
Insimbi ZeZhwane who boast of a new album released last month are expected to set the tone high as they prove to the people of Gwanda that they are the force to reckon with in the Tshibilika music circles.
Led by Meluleki “Brema” Moyo, Insimbi will perform songs that are on their new album, a first project released after the death of front man Ma-Eli and drummer Maviri who were claimed by a fatal accident last year.
Songs expected to be belted out which are part of the new project are “Imbeleko,” “Ingqinamba,” “Umfukula,” “Morning Glory,” “Imbobo Zamajuba,” “Umathambula,” and “Mileage.”

Brema confirmed that they are already in Gwanda preparing for the show and those who will be in attendance will be treated to quality entertainment.
“We just arrived here in Gwanda with Zinjaziyamluma and the weather is favourable for us to go on with the show tonight. This event is part of our effort of marketing our new album which we have since taken to other parts of Zimbabwe.
“It’s also an emotional gig as we make a return in Gwanda after the death of our fellow brothers. We will do this show in honour of them as we usher our fans into the festive mood,” said Brema.
The bassist gave credit to the young members of Insimbi ZeZhwane for managing to rise to occasion as they did well on the album, especially Frank “High Tower” Masuku and Luke Ergan Mathe who were vocalists on the album.
He also shared good news as he said they are fully booked for the festive season, something that will allow them to work and put food on the table for their families, only if their fans play their part by supporting and attending their shows this December.
