ZANU- PF Insiza North Constituency Parliamentary candidate, Cde Delani Moyo has filed his papers at the nomination court held at the Gwanda Magistrates Court.
Cde Moyo emerged victorious against six other candidates during a party’s by-election held on Wednesday.
After filing his papers, Cde Moyo said he will work tirelessly to ensure that the party defends its position in the June 14 by-election, which fell vacant after the passing of Cde Farai Taruvinga in March after battling with cancer.
Cde Moyo received 1 588 votes ahead of second-placed Cde Moses Langa and Cde Qhubani Moyo, who polled 1 185 and 837 respectively. Cde Davison Moyo got 94 votes in fourth place, followed by Cde Sifiso Mpofu with 54 votes. Cde Nkosana Mthunzi received 21 while Cde Enerst Ncube got 19 votes.
