Harare will host the second edition of the Zimbabwe Institutional Investors Forum from June 24 to 25, as policymakers, investors and industry leaders converge to discuss strategies for economic growth and investment opportunities.
The high-level forum, organised by MN Capital, is expected to bring together key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to deliberate on the state of the economy and map pathways for sustainable development.
In a statement, the forum convener said the post-pandemic environment has intensified the need for coordinated economic recovery efforts across governments globally.
“In the post-pandemic world, local, provincial and national governments across the world are intensifying their economic recovery and development efforts in order to significantly reduce socio-economic challenges that may, or not have been caused by the recent global pandemic, but have been exacerbated as a result. This presents new investment opportunities for institutional investors that will enable them to reach their financial returns targets whilst generating social impact,” read part of the statement.
The convener noted that achieving meaningful recovery will require strong collaboration between the public and private sectors, supported by policy reforms that enhance the ease of doing business and attract private sector participation.
“It has become evident that the work ahead will require collective efforts from both the public and private sectors, and this calls for policy amendments to ensure ease of doing business, in an effort to attract private-sector involvement in the economic recovery strategies. It is therefore very crucial for the key representatives from both the sectors to participate in stakeholder engagements that avail opportunities to engage on issues affecting and impacting the economy of the country,” the statement said.
Organisers said the forum forms part of a broader continental initiative by MN Capital, which has over two decades of experience in hosting investment conferences, to promote dialogue in high-potential investment destinations across Africa.
Zimbabwe, the convener added, presents a unique investment landscape characterised by both opportunities and challenges, making platforms such as the forum critical for informed decision-making.
“The 2nd Zimbabwe Institutional Investors Forum 2026 is designed to zoom in on the state of the economy in order for the participants to learn of the issues impacting the economy and also get an opportunity to map the best way forward,” the statement said.
The two-day event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, networking sessions and pre-arranged one-on-one meetings, allowing participants to engage directly with decision-makers and industry experts.
Delegates expected at the forum include senior policymakers, regulators, pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, development finance institutions, private equity firms, commercial banks and technology service providers, among others.
Key discussion themes will include strategies for economic growth, investment opportunities in Africa, the role of institutional investors, impact investing, and trends shaping environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks.
The forum is also expected to examine the state of Zimbabwe’s pension and retirement fund industry, as well as ways to leverage local resources to drive economic development.
Organisers said the event will provide a platform for participants to share insights, build partnerships and contribute to shaping Zimbabwe’s investment landscape.
