‘Iran only replies to language of respect’

TEHRAN. — Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says the Iranian nation will not give in to any pressure over Tehran’s nuclear energy programme.In a joint Press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Hoshyar Zebari, in Tehran, Zarif said that both the Iranian nation and government would honour their commitments regarding the country’s nuclear programme, if the other side also shows good will.

“We believe that the other party does not have many choices, but to reach an understanding with the great nation of Iran and the great nation of Iran only responds to the language of respect and it will resist against the language of threat…,” he added.

The Iraqi foreign minister for his part called for regional cooperation and unity as a way out of the common challenges facing the Middle East. —Press TV.
