It’s a Boys and Girls Affair

The festive season is drawing closer and kids are set for some thrills as it the inaugural fashion show dubbed Miss Boys and Girls Affair at Party Planet in Gunhill, Borrowdale, come October 26.One of a kind, the show will see children below the age of 12, from all walks of life, taking to the ramp and battling it out to be the first Miss Boys and Girls Affair according to director Miss Madzire.

“The show is an interesting one and it came about as we realised that the adults are having all the fun through the multiple national contests that take place every year. Miss Boys and Girls Affair, named after the children’s shop at Angwa City, is going to be an annual pageant and fun day were kids are given an opportunity to shine,” she said.

The director added that participants will model in two different categories where judges will select a male and female winner.
“The first category will see a free style session where kids will walk down the ramp in their favourite clothes.

“The second one will involve having them return in Boys and Girls special T-shirts that will be provided on the day as we choose two of the best contestants,” she said.

She also hinted that judges will look at the children who are presentable, confident and those that make eye contact. Although all contestants will be given consolation prizes for their participation, the grand prize for two of the best will be most interesting.

“The winners of Miss Boys and Girls Affair will win a bicycle each, US$100 shopping voucher and hampers. The rest of the contestants will be given hampers, tiaras and crowns as a form of appreciation for their participation,” she said.

Fun and excitement will also be available for the parents as the organisers have put in place a slot were they will model in order to win prizes.

Since it will also double as a family fun day parents will also enjoy braai, snacks and an array of activities. No alcohol will be available at the show that will start at midday and end at 5pm.

An exhibition of children supplies will also take place on the sidelines of the show. Clothes, toys, bags, and other children’s supplies will also be sold at massive discounts.

“We take pride in the best quality of our products like S-26 baby formula, satchels, shoes and children’s wear from Dubai, China and the United Kingdom,”

An admission of US$1 on the gate will allow kids to gain access to the show were jumping castles, face painting and other fun games will be taking place.

Tight security will also be available to man the children as well as parked vehicle.
