LLOYD Chitembwe has praised his men for bringing smiles back on the faces of their fans after a promising start to their Castle Lager Premiership campaign.
The Green Machine are yet to concede a goal in 360 minutes of league action.
They have won three and drawn one of their four games.
On Friday they beat Black Rhinos 2-0 at the National Sports Stadium with William Manondo and Rodwell Chinyengetere on target.
“It was a decent performance from the boys, they controlled the game the entire 90 minutes and we were never in trouble from the beginning up to the final whistle,” said Chitembwe.
“I want to congratulate the players and, of course, the fans, they deserve it after what they went through last season.
“It’s not really about being at the top of the log because we have just played four games.
“I’m experienced enough to know that it’s not the start that matters but the way you finish which counts more.”
He added.
“It’s good that we have started well because it gives us the picture of where we are going and how best we can improve in certain areas.
“But, at the end of the day, I feel there is still a lot of football to be played and we just need to keep going.”
CAPS United have netted five times with these goals coming from different scorers.
Adrian Silla, Thulani Joseph, Blessing Sarupinda, Chinyengetere and Manondo.
