Teenage boys (15) up for murder

TWO teenage boys (15) are facing a murder charge after they allegedly stabbed a man who had confronted them for talking to his girlfriend.

The incident happened in Mazowe.

The two young artisanal miners were approached by the deceased, Nisadi Maruza (25), at Nduna Shops, SAS Mine.

A heated argument ensued and the duo allegedly stabbed the deceased with a steel rod on his chest and back.

National Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner, Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“ZRP Marlborough is investigating a murder case in which two male juveniles (15) stabbed to death Nisadi Maruza (25) with a steel rod on the chest and back after an argument at Nduna Shops, SAS Mine, Mazowe on 07/04/23 at around 00:00 hours.

“The victim had allegedly seen the suspects talking to his girlfriend and this did not go well with him,” said Ass-Comm Nyathi.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a 35-year-old Mdlambuzi man in connection with the murder of Lameck Ndlovu (29).

Coster Ndebele, together with Mthabisi Mlalazi (20), and four others, attacked the deceased with a sjambok, hammer and an okapi knife several times, over an unknown issue.

The incident occurred last Thursday during the gang’s beer binge at Tshamahali Business Centre.

“The suspect, together with Mthabisi Mlalazi (20), and four others, took turns to attack to death the victim, Lameck Ndlovu (29) with a sjambok, hammer and an okapi knife indiscriminately all over the body, after an argument over an undisclosed issue during a beer drinking binge,” reads a police statement.
