On Friday last week, more than 1000 Zimbabweans reportedly thronged the Oasis Banqueting Suite in London for the Tuku and Macheso joint show.
It was part of the annual Zimfest held in the United Kingdom with Thomas Mapfumo, Winky D and Stunner also set to perform in the festival that runs for a few weeks.
In an interview yesterday, promoter of the show Jabula Inn owner, Joram Moyo said all was set for Extra Basso to come and light up the stage.
He said the show was dubbed the “Welcome Back Show” and fans should brace themselves for a night to remember. “It is Extra Basso’s first show in Esigodini after his UK tour and all is set for the show. Fans should expect a night to remember from Macheso. As usual he will put up his best at the show,” said Moyo.
He said Macheso would be supported by the ever-popular Sounds of Muddy Face, a group that was fronted by late Cephas “Moto Muzhinji” Mashakada.
“The Sounds of Muddy Face will warm up the crowd before Macheso goes on stage. They will belt out all the crowd favourites and keep the crowd on their feet,” said Moyo.
He said braziers and ice cold beers would be available on the night for revellers.
