Jadel Football Academy to conduct second round of trials

AFTER an overwhelming response from youngsters when they called for trials last weekend, Jadel Football Academy have decided to conduct yet another round of auditions this Saturday at Ardbennie Primary School near Mbare in Harare. 

The academy, which was started by former Zimbabwe youth international Walter “Ringers” Musanhu in China several years ago, is establishing subsidiaries across the African continent, starting with Zimbabwe. 

The local nursery, which is located in Mbare, last week held successful trials in which a team of scouts, led by technical guru Nelson Matongorere and Dynamos legend David “Broomboy” George, supervised the proceedings at Ardbenie Primary School.  They selected a number of players in the Under-15 age-group. 

And the academy is set to hold yet another round of auditions this weekend for the same age-group as they aim to give a chance to some youngsters who didn’t make it to the venue last weekend. Former players Edward Sadomba, Maxwell Nyamupangedengu, Salim Milanzi and Martin Vengesai along with E360 Evolution will conduct the assessments, just like the last time out. The academy’s local structures had been put in place in 2019 but everything was disturbed with the coming in of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Academy director, Musanhu who has won several accolades in China, said they have decided to conduct another round of trials to give a chance to other young players who might have failed to make it to the venue last week.

“You might be aware we called for the same trials last weekend. The response was overwhelming and we selected several players we will be working with going forward,” said Musanhu. 

“We are alive to the fact that other players need another opportunity to showcase themselves, especially those who might have missed last week’s chance due to different commitments. Jadel Football Academy coaches Garikai Mukangairwa and Charles Maguraushe as well as Munyaradzi Diya will also be available to help scout talented kids.

Jadel Football Academy will compete in the 2023 national juniors league and they will also be expected to tour different countries across the globe.
