THIRD Generation leader Jah Prayzah yesterday visited Harare Central Prison for talent scouting.
Jah Prayzah, real name, Mukudzei Mukombe, took time and listened to inmates’ issues.
He received a medal from one of the inmates and a guitar from another.
He sang “Mhinduro musi waichadzika” with a number of inmates singing along.
Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Meya Khanyezi, told H-Metro that the contemporary musician promised to engage some inmates for his projects.
“We want to thank a number of inmates’ relatives and friends for visiting them during their time of incarceration,” said Chief Supt Khanyezi.
“It helps much in the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders.
“It gives them hope and a better future since our prisons are no longer giving punitive measures, but more of a correctional aspect.
“Jah Prayzah’s visit raised morale among the inmates, and he promised to include some of the talented inmates in some of his projects,” she said.
