Beitbridge is set for a major music night this week as multiple award-winning artist Jah Prayzah, the Ruzhowa hitmaker, headlines The Jah Experience – Beitbridge Edition at Pagomba Café on Friday evening.
The Third Generation frontman is no stranger to packed venues in the border town. Whenever Jah Prayzah comes to Beitbridge, venues fill up hours early and crowds leave singing for more.
Organizers say this edition will be no different.
Preparations are already in top gear according to Pagomba Café Entertainment Manager Keith Webster Ndiweni also known as DJ Keitho.
“Preparations are looking strong for The Jah Experience – Beitbridge Edition, happening Friday 14 August from 6PM at Pagomba Café, Beitbridge. The event is officially listed and tickets are already on sale,” said DJ Keitho.
He described the night as more than just a gig, calling it a full cultural celebration.
“The fans should expect a major live performance from Jah Prayzah — high-energy, full-stage entertainment. A celebration of Zimbabwean music and culture, with fans coming together from Beitbridge, Masvingo and surrounding areas,” he said.
Dr Keitho said the team has prioritized production value to match the artist’s reputation for world-class shows.
“We will be delivering a professionally produced show, with strong sound, lighting and stage presentation. A lively crowd atmosphere — singing along, dancing and enjoying Jah Prayzah’s biggest songs. A premium concert experience, rather than just an ordinary night out,” he said.
“We have seen a strong ticket demand, so fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early. Jah Prayzah’s recent live shows have been praised for their polished production, energetic performance and strong audience interaction, so people can expect a proper concert experience.”
Jah Prayzah’s catalogue cuts across generations, from early hits to recent anthems like Ruzhowa and Mudhara Vachauya.
His live band, the Third Generation, is known for tight arrangements, traditional instrumentation fused with modern sounds, and choreography that keeps audiences on their feet for hours.
It is understood that for Beitbridge, the show will be also a boost for local tourism and business, with restaurants, transport operators and accommodation facilities expecting increased activity over the weekend as music lovers travel in.
