One of Zimbabwe’s celebrated artistes, Jah Prayzah, is tomorrow expected to lead a cast of musicians scheduled to perform at a new entertainment attraction centre, Hampden’s Beach, located in the new city area in Mount Hampden.
Families and fun lovers are expected to throng the new entertainment venue and spend the day with their favourite artistes.
The new beach was constructed by local entrepreneur, Dr Lovemore Kurotwi, during the Covid-19 and is now turning out to be a popular place for families to have fun.
After successfully hosting multitudes during its inception on Christmas Day last year —the new beach — with a capacity to accommodate over 7 000 people, provides the very best of entertainment, with tomorrow’s family show expected to be a centre of attraction for families in and around Harare. Jah Prayzah is expected to give the new beach “Chiremerera”, as he will perform from a stage placed in the mighty waters of the beach. Over the years, people would travel as far as Durban in South Africa to feel the nostalgic account of the beach.
But Dr Kurotwi believes the Hampden Beach would be a super substitute for foreign beaches as it provides the same amusement and entertainment for Zimbabweans as they will get outside the country.
Once the Hampden Beach proves popular, Zimbabwe will save a lot of foreign currency that is presently being spent in other countries as cash-rich citizens pursue happiness.
