Jailed for sodomy

with a six-year-jail sentence by regional magistrate Mrs Esther Muremba after he admitted to having sexually abused the boy last week.
However, Mrs Muremba suspended three years of the sentence for five years after convicting the student of aggravated indecent assault.
The Form 4 student and the complainant shared the same hostel.
On January 25 this year, the senior student called the complainant to his bed while the other students were reading in the library and sexually abused him.
He was, however, caught red-handed by other students who suddenly returned from the library. Police were called and he was arrested. Ms Sophia Bhusvumani appeared for the state.
