Jamaica Inn to reopen with a bang

“So we want to revive those days when people used to come and enjoy themselves. For those who will not be able to drive back home we have accommodation of up to 30 beds. The rooms have been refurbished while we added an open-air sports bar and a butchery which caters for those who want to braai,” Taengwa said.
He said Jamaica Inn City now offered more than just accommodation services as it offers quality entertainment.
“After the grand opening we shall continue to bring several performing artistes as we get into the festive mood,” Taengwa said.
In an interview, Selmor was upbeat about the gig and promised lots of exciting moments on stage.
“We have been rehearsing for the gig and at this point I would like to invite my fans to come in their numbers and enjoy the show. There are going to be surprises here and there including a foretaste of my new songs,” she said.
Selmor said she was working on her second solo project after her debut called “Shungu”. She has done two other albums with her husband Tendai — “Live” recorded at 7 Arts Theatre and the 2012.
She however, said her upcoming album will be more personal as is it engaging. On the other hand, Pitshou Lumiere the leader of Diamond Musica New Image, promised to thrill revellers as they were the main act on the night.
“When you hear of Diamond Musica you should know that it is showtime.
There is going to be lots of energy and dance on stage. We are going to be showcasing our latest dance ‘Amataki namoto’ and you should not miss this one,” he said. Diamond Musica New Image has been performing sellout shows in Harare where they are slowly reviving the genre.
The group made up of Zimbabweans and some Congolese musicians is known for their hit songs “Amaule” and “Sina Makosa” (remix).
