JANET MANYOWA’S manager says the gospel diva’s sixth album, “Worship Moments (Open Heavens),” is almost ready.
The album, which was supposed to be unveiled last month on October 25, is now set to be launched on November 28.
Worship Moments comes just after the songbird celebrated her 10th anniversary in music.
The album will be launched at Celebration Centre.
In an interview with H-Metro, Munyaradzi Manyowa, who is the gospel diva’s husband and manager, said the team needed more time to bring some new inspiration and ideas to life.
“Album launch preparations are going quite well by the grace of God. It’s going to be an amazing night.
“The album is almost ready and I’m so excited to share this particular project with you.
“You can pre-save the album on the digital service providers.
“As the name of the album ‘Worship Moments’ suggests, it’s a worship album.
“The music is a completely different direction from our previous work and I pray this project will be a blessing to many.
“It has to be one of my favourite projects so far.
“We still had a few Is to dot and Ts to cross where the production of the music is concerned and so we thought it would be best to postpone the album launch until we can serve a complete project.”
From the album, Manyowa has already released ‘Anotida’ and ‘Somlandela’.
The ‘Anotida’ song and video were performed and recorded live at Art Farm, Harare, during one of her recent successful concerts in May this year.
“’Anotida’ is a well-known gospel hymn in Zimbabwe that has resonated deeply with the Christian community. The title translates to ‘He loves us,’ emphasising themes of divine love and grace.”
