The grant was provided under the Japanese Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects.
It would be used for the construction of four standard double classrooms, 10 multi-compartment blair latrine toilet blocks and toilets for teachers at the school.
The 284 pupils at the school are learning in three makeshift pole and dagga classroom blocks.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held in Harare yesterday, Japan Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Yonezo Fukuda said education was a prerequisite not just for national socio-economic development but to enable pupils to attain necessary life skills for the betterment of their future.
Construction is expected to be completed within the year.
