AFRO jazz crooner, Brian “Mukore Kore” Nyahuma, has vowed to use his influence to denounce child abuse.
Today, he is set to release a single titled ‘Tasarivare.’
The song denounces early child marriages, sexual, verbal and physical abuse against children.
He also addressed the issue of trafficking and substance abuse.
The video will also be launched today on his YouTube channel.
He partnered with the Catholic Archdiocese of Harare’s Education secretariat in this project.
He was targeting mainly primary and secondary students.
“Child abuse is the new cancer in our midst, which needs to be addressed, as a matter of urgency.
“We can’t afford to fold our hands and watch our children being abused by both close relatives and strangers.
“Together we can win this fight if we combine our efforts,” he said.
Mukore Kore, who has been in the game for over a decade, added:
“We want to educate the masses on the need to take responsibility and make the world a safe place for our children.
“Surely, we can’t afford to let monsters abuse our kids because their future is at stake as it stands right now.
“On a daily basis, we read horrific tales about kids being abused, which is totally unacceptable.”
