HARARE Christian Soccer League champions, PAOZ JCC, are set to play against a Division One side in a friendly match.

The game will be used to measure how competitive their teams are against professional sides.

JCC are the league champions.

Coach, Bishop Never Muparutsa, said they were bracing themselves for the challenge.

“The league is now organising that, as champions, we play a team in Division One.

“Whoever we are going to play should know they are going to find it very tough.

“We are not intimidated in any way. “We take every game as it is and we are always ready to deal with any team which comes our way,” he said.

Bishop Muparutsa is happy with the work being done by the league’s executive, led by Derrick Mawire.

“He needs to be appreciated because the league is properly organised.

“I think other soccer bodies or sports bodies should learn from these guys.

“We are attracting sponsorship despite the fact we are just a social league.

“Now, the league is over and we have a tournament coming our way with good money for the boys.

“I would like to thank our chairman Mawire for doing a wonderful job.”

All teams are now focusing on the prestigious PanJap tournament this coming weekend.
