LEGENDARY musician Jeys Marabini is set to take his music to the capital city on February 27 when he headlines a show there alongside fellow artiste Agga Nyabinde, marking his first live public performance of the year.
The show signals the start of an ambitious 2026 calendar for the seasoned performer, who is targeting more appearances beyond his home city of Bulawayo as he expands his national and regional footprint.
Marabini said performing in Harare remains special for him, describing the capital as one of his strongest support bases.
“It feels very special because I’m headlining the show, which means all eyes will be on me. Harare always gives me a full house — people there really love my music and they come out in big numbers,” he said.

“I’m excited to share the stage with Agga.”
He added that staging the show in Harare affirms the growth of his brand.
“It’s a big recognition for my brand. The performances we did last year were very successful, so we’ve already started preparing thoroughly for this one. I want to thank venues there for trusting my brand.”
Beyond live shows, Marabini revealed that fans should brace for a major musical project, an acoustic album that is nearing completion.
“This year, I have big plans. I want to perform across the country and even regionally. We’re also preparing to release an acoustic album. We’ve put in a lot of hard work to produce quality music and we’re ready to entertain wherever we’re called,” he said.

He said the project will be launched through a live performance, to give fans a first-hand experience of the new sound.
“The album is almost complete and we want to launch it in front of a live audience so people can experience it with us from the very beginning. It’s an album I’m very proud of, and I believe many will love it.”
With decades in the industry and a loyal fan base, Marabini continues to reinvent himself while staying true to the soulful, acoustic sound that has defined his career. — @mthabisi_mthire
