AT times love is sweet but at times it is sour.
This rings true for a man from Sotshangane Flats in Bulawayo who was bashed and humiliated while he was with his girlfriend in the bedroom.
Emory Nare from Sotshangane flats in Bulawayo is a man living in fear because his girlfriend’s ex- lover, Dumisani Hadebe is allegedly a thorn in his flesh. Just last Monday, Hadebe allegedly sprung a shock and stormed into the bedroom while Nare was with his lover.
“Last week on Monday while I was with my lover in her bedroom at her family house, Dumisani barged into the room and hit me with fists and kicked me accusing me of snatching his lover. I was half-naked and I bolted out of the room but he pursued me and caught up with me before he hit me against the wall,” he said.
Nare stated that Hadebe was in the habit of hurling insults at him whenever they meet.
“I have suffered much humiliation at the hands of Hadebe because each time we meet in public spaces he would insult me and that has tainted my reputation,” he said.
He mentioned that his love rival issued death threats at him.
“While I was not at home, Hadebe went to my lodgings and told my landlord that he wanted to kill me. As such I’m living in fear. I pray that this court will grant me a peace order,” he said.
Hadebe did not attend the court session. The presiding magistrate, Challenge Mahembe, granted Nare a peace order. Hadebe was ordered not to physically and verbally abuse Nare.
