A JILTED lover allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend’s suitor, and left her battling for her life, after waylaying them on their way home from a prominent bar in Epworth.
Wenset Charuzika (35) went to Bhagomalo Bar at Rueben Shops where he met his ex-girlfriend, Praise Muchemwa, in the company of the now deceased.
Charuzika bought Muchemwa alcohol in an attempt to lure her to reconcile with him.
However, she refused and informed him that she had already been paid for night sex by the deceased.
A confrontation ensued and Charuzika threatened them with unspecified action. Muchemwa left the bar with the now deceased at around 11pm.
Charuzika allegedly waylaid them and struck them with an unknown object on their heads and they lost consciousness. A Good Samaritan rushed them to the Epworth Police Station.
The man was then ferried to Sally Mugabe Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Muchemwa is battling for her life in hospital.
