MUSIC producer, Gibson Makumbe, will take five artists from his stable on a tour of Botswana next month to give them exposure.

The disabled pair of Chipo Muchengwa and Terry, Shantel Sithole, Mr Flavour and Culture Love, will meet their fans in the neighbouring country.

The show will be held on August 5 at Nature Paradise Night Club in Gaborone and will feature other upcoming artists and local club wheel-spinners.

Makumbe said this is a clear testimony that the artists were doing well.

“The artists will be led by Shantel, who has never been to Botswana.

“She feels excited because this is the beginning of greater things to come.

“It also shows that Zimbabweans in the diaspora appreciate what they are doing.”

He said Shantel will also perform in South Africa in the coming months.

“From 23 August, she has a show in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth in November. We are promoting artists, who are doing well in the industry, so that they can advance their skills and keep doing more,” he said.

Makumbe believes producers should go out of their way and promote artists under their stables.

“Music producers should go an extra mile and make sure that they are there for the upkeep of their artists.

“Artists should benefit more from the stable where they are signed,” he said.
