Job Market, a cost-effective way for employers to connect with jobseekers leveraging on search technology to deliver only qualified candidates, has connected over 100 job seekers only weeks after its launch. The platform “easily connects jobseekers with employers looking to hire for entry and mid-level positions”.
“With a free (Basic) package option for jobseekers and two low cost levels for employers, Job Market is the easiest and most cost-effective way to hire or get hired. In addition, our powerful job search and job matching engines provide unparalleled functionality for users to make the most of the site,” Job Market head of business development Mr Edwin Tembo said.
The platform is custom designed from top to bottom supporting the powerful search engine.
“It’s different in that it searches and matches automatically without active input from the user. This means it searches for the skills the employer has highlighted that he is looking for, matches candidates with those skills and automatically delivers them to the employers’ inbox. The system does this daily,” said Mr Tembo.
The introduction of new technology, changes in the economy and adjusting employer needs and the cost of advertising has seen employers turn to online recruitment agencies and platforms. Technology has also meant that recruitment processes have become digitalised, making the process quicker and more efficient. Mr Tembo said there were hundreds of candidates on the Job Market database while over a dozen employers have used the site to hire.
“We’ve helped employers fill close to 50 vacancies since launch. We now also post certain featured jobs on our Facebook page, which is ideal for quick recruitment as once a job is posted, candidates who qualify but may be unregistered on the site quickly register and apply. This is very cost effective and faster for the employer as compared to posting job advertisements elsewhere,” he said.
