RAPPER John “John The Legend” Nhira has dropped a tribute song titled Gone Too Soon dedicated to his late sister Anne.

She died in March last year after sustaining injuries from a robbery attack in South Africa.

The former Studio 263 actress’ death shocked many in this country.

She was attacked by thugs while coming from an early morning prayer.

Her family is still devastated following her death.

John also dedicated the song to his late mother, Yananisai, who died in 2019.

“I wrote the song Gone Too Soon as a dedication to my sister and mother.

“After going through the deepest and most agonising pain, stress and depression, I found strength in writing, singing, and releasing the song titled –  Gone Too Soon,” he said.

He said they are also working on gospel songs as Nhira brothers.

“We also have a few gospel tracks, which we are still working on as The Nhira (5) brothers, titled Mwenje, Kutenda, Tofamba Nenyasha, and many others coming out soon.

“I have done other projects before.

“I was singing before, then I stopped, I felt I could help someone in need in the same situation.

“So, I was inspired to start singing again. “We have been singing gospel as the Nhira brothers, we have a music studio with a lot of our content in music.

“We are a family of singers with plenty of albums zvekuti ungatoita week rese uchiita feature one Nhira brother after the other.

“We also performed at this year’s AFM Conference at Gotekwa in Masvingo.”

The singer said they have formed a foundation.

“We have started The Anne Vimbai Nhira Foundation to help less privileged, homeless, struggling artists, actors/actresses.

“We would love to work with Passion Java Records, they seem to be investing more in local talent.

“Soon, we are also starting a TV talk show inonzi (Taura Mdara) (Khuluma Ndoda) tackling issues about the male child, and all kinds of abuse men go through, everyday.”

The Nhira brothers are John, Limon, Mambo Fletcher, Yaggah and Swegga Trombone.
