FOUR pupils at Jonas High School in Seke are traumatised following the release of the man accused of setting his dogs on them and forcing them to roll in mud.
Prosper Tirivavi appeared before a Chitungwiza magistrate and was released on $12 000 bail.
One of the pupils’ parents told H-Metro the pupils have been hesitant to attend lessons as Tirivavi was still roaming the school premises and village.
“We had to counsel my child to attend school after we realised he could meet Prosper since he was released,” said the parent.
“My child was traumatised since they were abused.
“Tomorrow (today) they will miss lessons since we are going to attend the court session,” he said.
Prosper, a villager, punished the four pupils by beating them with a stick, forcing them to roll in the mud and ordering them to do push-ups.
They were under the guard of his dogs.
He found them viewing a video at their school gate.
He is expected to return to court today.
