Journalist Busani Ncube buried

FORMER Chronicle and Sunday News reporter Busani Ncube who died in an accident on Sunday was buried yesterday at his family homestead in Nkankezi, Insiza district in Matabeleland South. About 100 people gathered at the homestead to bid Ncube farewell.

The mourners included MDC secretary-general, Mrs Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga and her colleagues, Mr Sindiso Mazibisa and Mr Qhubani Moyo as well as journalists from Bulawayo.

Ncube died on the spot when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, resulting in it overturning and rolling twice.
He was in the company of another journalist,  Nkululeko Sibanda and a female colleague.

Speaker after speaker described Ncube as an excellent journalist and a political advocate.
By the time of his death he was an active member of the MDC.

Busani is survived by daughter Sindiso (6), son Bekithemba (3) and a three-week old daughter who was yet to be christened.
