distributors walked away with prizes including refrigerators, plasma television sets, laptops and cameras for popularising the herbal products from China.
It was all joy and smiles as distributors from different cities and towns who after attaining either the bronze, silver or gold status were presented with prizes.
Mrs Chinhondo, who received a Mercedes Benz, could not hide her joy and had to be assisted by a relative to go to the podium to receive keys.
A former cross border trader, Mrs Chinhondo expressed gratitude to Sunony management, saying the programme had changed her life.
“I have been a distributor since 2009. Sunony has changed my life and I can safely say this year is my year of achievement because I have already achieved my dream car,” she said.
Sunony Products Zimbabwe branch manager Mr Godfrey Dhlana said there has been an overwhelming response on the use of herbal products from China.
The herbal products are registered with the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe and over 5 000 people are believed to be using them.
To qualify to trade, one needs to become a member of the network and start selling the herbal medicines on a commission basis.
The more people one recruits, the more points one scores.
Sunony herbal products were first introduced in the country two years ago and are being imported from China.
The herbal supplements are used mainly by people suffering from different ailments among them hypertension, diabetes, cancer, arthritis and fibroids.
However, concern has been raised over the proliferation of herbal medicines in the country and people have been warned to consult medical experts before taking supplementary medicines.
