JP, DONGO COLLABO

Maria Chiguvari

TREVOR Dongo and Jah Prayzah have released a duet titled Mutsamvi.

The track is about losing loved ones and learning to carry on with life without them, in the process convincing yourself to cherish the time you spent with them.

Speaking to H-Metro, Dongo said he dedicated this song to his late grandmother, who was his pillar of strength.

“I wrote the song for my late grandmother who was my pillar of strength and, after losing her back in 2015, it took me this long to really put something with a deeper meaning together and I can safely say that I managed to mould it into perfection.

“A lot of people can relate to this song because I am sure at some point someone lost their loved ones and they are still holding on to special memories.”

Dongo said he was excited to have worked with the Mukwasha hitmaker.

“It was quite an amazing experience working with JP.

“He is one of the greatest artists of our time and I think I made a perfect choice to rope him in on this one because it goes along with his sound.

“I chose JP on this one because we’ve been friends for a long time and we’ve been wanting to collaborate on a record.”

Mutsamvi was produced by Producer Macdonald “MacDee” Chidavaenzi under Eternity Productions.

It has Joseph Chinouriri on the Saxophone,Trust Samende (Mokoomba) on the lead guitar, Jah Prayzah on Mbira nehosho.
