UPCOMING Afro-fusion artist, Sober Guy, says Jah Prayzah remains his main source of inspiration.

Born Amos Sobha, the 25-year-old disclosed that he is motivated by the 3rd Generation boss, who rose to fame from humble beginnings.

He took part in Jah Prayzah’s Furuwa Challenge, which endeared him with fans.

He told H-Metro Jah Prayzah has set a pace for him in the music industry.

“The challenge track for the song Furuwa was an eye-opener.

“In fact, I am challenged by his musical journey.  He started small but today is a very well-known artist.

“I always ask myself that if Jah Prayzah did it then why can’t I?” he said.

Sober recently released a single track titled ‘Chibaba Ichi.’

“Chibaba Ichi is just a cheerful song which accommodates ghetto youths’ chants.

“The track has been well received and I am pleased with that.

“I have hope and faith that one day I will be somewhere, “he said.

However, Sober said he was looking forward to getting sponsors, and promoters, in his career.

“Promoters should also put upcoming artists into consideration, when they organise shows.

“We rise and gain popularity through those shows,” said Sober.

To date, Sober has recorded two studio albums.
