JAH Prayzah added a new breed of fans after another spellbinding performance here last weekend.
He endeared himself to hundreds of kids, who came for the family show, which was hosted at the Midrange Golf Club.
This was JP’s first family gig in South Africa.
“It is always an honour to come and perform at events such as this as we get to meet and greet the little ones.
“Thanks to Gauteng North Promotions and Nyaradzo for making it possible,” said the lanky musician.
The much-hyped show lived up to its billing as hundreds of families were treated to a fun-filled day.
The show got underway around 3.30pm, with an energetic performance by rhumba’s new-kid-on-the-block Courage Sithole, better known by his stage name, Courage Central.
It was his first major performance on such a grand scale.
He didn’t disappoint.
Next on stage was Nox Guni who treated kids to a show of a lifetime.
He was on top of his game and fans received him well.
He churned hit after hit, taking his fans down memory lane, with tracks such as Maria, Ndinonyara, and a lot more.
The tempo picked up when SA-based internet sensation, Stylekid, hopped onto stage in a surprise performance.
He wowed fans with his amapiano dance moves, which won the hearts of many.
The young Zimbabwean has a bright future if he remains focused.
He has over six million views on YouTube.
Limpopo-based Makhadzi was also in the house and gave a stellar performance.
She, however, played for less than an hour and left fans clamouring for more.
It was then left to JP to bring the curtain down and he didn’t disappoint.
Songs such as Goto, Eriza, Jerusarema were well-received.
It was a show to remember for the over 3 000 people who thronged the venue.
“We applaud all the fans for coming and for their exemplary behaviour.
“We didn’t witness any violence and it is something that we were hoping for.
“We are already planning for upcoming gigs and we will make announcements at the right time,” said GNP spokesperson, Niederer Mupamhadzi.
