THE Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has embarked on a massive re-deployment of magistrates across the country with eight regional magistrates having been transferred so far.

A substantial reshuffle for provincial and senior magistrates is also looming. Chief Magistrate Mr Mishrod Guvamombe said the exercise was routine to enhance operations.

“We have redeployed regional magistrates to various stations across the country and all the transfers are with effect from September 1. This is a routine exercise to enhance our operations and we are considering redeploying the rest of other magistrates in about a month’s time,” he said.

Bulawayo regional magistrate Mr Mark Dzira has swapped with Mr Joseph Mabeza from Gwanda while Mrs Fadzai Mthombeni has been moved from Harare to Chivhu. Mrs Mthombeni was at the Bulawayo regional court prior to her transfer to Harare.

Mr Amos Mbobo has been transferred from Gokwe to Chinhoyi and he will be replaced by Mr Solomon Jenya who was stationed at Chivhu regional court.

Ms Sandra Mpindu has been redeployed from Harare to Bindura. Mutare provincial magistrate Ms Lucy Mungwari and Mr Elijah Makomo, formerly a Harare magistrate, have been elevated to regional magistrates to replace Ms Mthombeni and Ms Mpindu. — @mashnets
