HWAHWA coach Luke “Jukulile” Petros wants his team to forget about the three points they lost in the boardroom last week when they face Zvishavane Stars in a Zifa Central Region Division One Soccer League tie tomorrow.The club has settled their dues and the league officials have given them the greenlight to resume their campaign.
Two other teams – Nkayi United and Chomumvuri – also lost points last week.
“I think the decision was too harsh on our part but we cannot cry over spilt milk and we need to re-focus now,” said Petros. “There was supposed to be a mutual understanding between the two parties as they have worked together for a long time.
“We have a good team and missing action last week may have a negative effect but I will try and motivate the players to do well. The team will only miss rightback Tawanda Thompson who is injured so we are prepared.”
Hwahwa trail leaders Chrome Stars by three points.
Zvishavane Stars beat Gweru City 1-0 last week.
