The July Fest in Kadoma will feature a mix of local and international artists.
The festival will take place on July 29 and will feature performances from South African duo Blaq Diamond, Zimbabwean singer Ammara Brown and Zimdancehall act Uncle Epatan.
Nutty O is also set to take to the stage.
Event coordinator, Kudzai Matondo, expressed excitement at the response to the festival and highlighted the importance of hosting events in smaller towns outside of the capital Harare.
“We are really impressed by the uptake of advance tickets both in Harare and at the venue. After hosting a number of international acts at the venue, we were pleasantly surprised by the response of revellers in Kadoma who cannot wait for the July Fest.
“We have been holding it at other venues, but the uptake of tickets is crazy and overwhelming,” said Matondo.
He believes small towns should not be overlooked when hosting big events.
“I have realised that most promoters prefer holding their events in Harare yet we have a ready market in small towns.”
Tickets for the festival are priced at US$5 for the standard and US$15 for VIP.
