THE departure of Chicken Inn skipper Danny a?Decoa? Phiri to the Absa premiership has presented Brian Juru with a chance to make a name for himself.
Phiri a a legendary midfielder at Chicken Inn will be joining Golden Arrows down South this season.
His exploits at Chicken Inn relegated Juru to benchwarmer status but that might change soon.
a?During my time at Chicken Inn I have been like an understudy to Deco. His move presents me with an opportunity to step into his shoes. I have learnt a lot from him so itas not going to be a problem to fill in that position,a? said Juru.
However, Juru is not the only player eyeing the spot a there is also Thabani Goredema.
But there seems to be enough for everyone since a player exodus at championship winningA Chicken Inn posed the club with a player exodus to South African sides in the First National Division and Premiership.
Edmore Chirambadare andAA Michelle Katsvairo joined glamour club Kaiser Chiefs while Tafadzwa Kutinyu is also reported to be on his way to Golden Arrows while Passmore Benard, Moses Demera and goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze are believed to be on their way to reunite with former coach Joey Antipas at AmaZulu in the first division.
Chicken Inn brought in the former Monomotapa duo of Chris Semakweri and Darryl Nyandoro to fill in the void left by the departure of Chirambadare and Katsvairo.
The champions are blowing hot and cold as last week they flattered to deceive when they lost to Chapungu after having outclassed Highlanders the previous weekend.
