JUST IN: Cotton buying season kicks off

Cotton farmers have started delivering their products to several buying points (depots) countrywide as the white gold’s harvesting peaks.

The buying seasons starts on Monday next week and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) announced recently that they will be paid in foreign currency.

Cotton Producers and Marketers Association’s chairman, Mr Stewart Mubonderi on Wednesday said that their members were moving into a new season in high spirits after Government announced that they will get part of their payment in foreign currency.
