JUST IN: Covid-19 claims 2 more lives

TWO more people have died of Covid-19 in Zimbabwe as 21 others tested positive to the global pandemic in the last 24 hours.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care show that the two deaths were recorded from Harare and Mashonaland Central provinces.

Of the 21 new cases eight were recorded in Bulawayo, nine in Harare and four in Mashonaland West.

The Ministry also says to date, a total of 430 068 people has been vaccinated against Covid-19.

“We recorded 21 new cases all locals and two deaths in the last 24 hours and the average of new cases now stands at 29. As at 02 May 2021, Zimbabwe had 38 281 confirmed cases, including 35 634 recoveries and 1 570 deaths,” said the Ministry.
