JUST IN: Ke Yona TV unveils sports presenters

BULAWAYO-based Ke Yona television station has unveiled two presenters/producers, Zwelikhethabantu Sibanda and Mercy Moyo, who will be in charge of the sports segment.

This comes after six youngsters – Marvelous M Mpofu, Francisca M, Thabiso Jubane, Mayibongwe Zulu, Bhekumuzi Dube and Sinikiwe Ngwenya were unveiled as presenters who will spearhead the station’s educational programmes as the station prepares to go live.

Currently, the station is hard at work on their content production. The content is set to be drawn from five continents.

Ke Yona TV executive communications officer, Vuyelwa Sibindi said the duo in the sports sector will ensure the station has top-notch productions.

“KeYona Television wishes to announce that it has selected Zwelikhethabantu Sibanda and Mercy Moyo to host and produce the channel’s sports content.

“The duo will spearhead the channel’s vision to change the sport landscape in the country solidifying the station’s pursuit to deliver world-class programmes to its audiences. KeYona TV wishes them the best in their new journey and we hope that viewers will enjoy having them on screen,” said Sibindi.

Moyo who is also an actress, is a sports fanatic who has a coaching qualification. She is currently an Early Childhood Development teacher.

Sibanda is a former assistant floor manager at Kwese Sports for the Cosafa women’s championship and the Kwese Sports Vic Falls 7’s. He is a member of the Matabeleland Rugby Coaches Association, former venue manager at the World Rugby under 20 World Trophy and holds various sports qualifications including a BSc in Sports Science and Coaching from the National University of Science and Technology. – @mthabisi_mthire
