A senior cleric in the Archbishop Paul Ernest Mwazha-led African Apostolic Church (AAC) has dismissed widely circulating rumors that their aged leader has passed on.

During the weekend, social media was awash with claims that Archbishop Mwazha had died.

But Bishop Moses Mwagura, the AAC Deputy General Secretary, told The Manica Post that: “It is a lie; Mutumwa Mwazha is alive and healthy. He is turning 105 this October.”

Apparently, this is not the first time that Mutumwa Mwazha’s demise has been social media cannon fodder.
