NEW: Manica Post Health and Wellness Day lives up to billing

MUTARE Boys’ High sports grounds were a hive of activity yesterday as people from different walks of life converged for the inuagural edition of the Manica Post Health and Wellness Day.

Harare-based outfit Protector Rangers were crowned winners of the social soccer matches.

 

Vengere Boozers came second while Nyanga Legends settled for third position.

 

Elite Collections finished fourth.

 

A total of 15 social soccer teams took part in the event.

 

The Manicaland Netball League Division One League Bubble Five, which was being hosted by St Augustine’s-based Santa Queens, was also involved in exciting  action.

The Manica Post Editor Wendy Nyakurerwa-Matinde said: “As Manica Post, we are happy that we managed to organise and host this event. It was a huge success judging by the turnout as well as the atmosphere created during and after the games. We are looking forward to hosting similar events occasionally.”
