Over 600 frontline workers in Mashonaland East have so far received their first doses of the sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine.

Provincial Medical Director Dr Paul Matsvimbo said in an interview that they were using various mobilisation strategies to motivate more workers to get vaccinated.

“When we started the numbers were a little bit low but on Tuesday they started to increase,” he said. “On the first day we had a total of 196 frontline workers who got vaccinated and the number has so far increased to 608.”
