JUST IN: Rushinga appeals for food aid

More than 100 families in Rushinga, Mt Darwin are in need of food aid following the recent destruction of homes by rains that pounded the district last week.In an interview, Rushinga legislator, Cde Tendai Nyabani said property worth thousands of dollars was destroyed including homes which has left several families in a dire state of need for shelter and food.

“ About 100 households were left counting losses from the violent storm that hit Rushinga last week, the wards affected are Kasika with about 55 households in ward 20, whilst Nyanhewe and Kayerudza in ward 21 were also heavily affected,” he said.
