HE sold alcohol to 10 minors and filmed them as they drank it during the festive season in an act that was as shameless as it was criminal.
Now, Phaeton Mutiyaya, the 23-year-old thug from Mbare, will spend months in jail for his disgraceful act.
The minors were aged between five and 11 years.
Mutiyaya appeared at the Mbare Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he was slapped with a 12-month sentence for selling liquor to the minors.
He was slapped with another 12 months for violating the liquor licensing laws for operating without a shop licence.
His crime came to light when a video of the drunk minors went viral on social media, sparking outrage and condemnation for the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18.
He was selling the alcohol illegally from a private residence in Mbare.
