Juventus to make push to re-sign Pogba

Juventus are planning to use their Champions League windfall to fund an £72 million January move for Paul Pogba, according to Tuttosport.

The reigning Serie A champions are keen on a reunion with the Frenchman, who played for the club between 2012 and 2016.

Having joined on a free transfer from Manchester United, he then returned to Manchester for a then world record £90m.

Yet Pogba has endured a mixed time in the Premier League, winning the Europa League, League Cup and FA Cup but also falling out with boss Jose Mourinho.

While Man United want to recoup the fee they paid for him, his fractious relationship with Mourinho may aid his desire to return to Turin.

If Pogba does make the move, he will be linking up with former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, who made the move to the Old Lady in the summer and has since netted 11 goals in 19 games.

Juventus are also considering a move for Spanish playmaker Isco, who has fallen out of favour under new Real Madrid head coach Santiago Solari. — Daily Mail
