JZ set for Dubai sunshine break

BOURNEMOUTH. – Jordan Zemura and his Bournemouth teammates look set to use the World Cup break for a trip away as well as some friendly matches in preparation for the return to Premier League action.

Following Saturday’s 3-0 win over Everton, Cherries are not set to play again competitively until travelling to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup in the week commencing December 19.

They will then head to Chelsea in the Premier League on December 27.

Chris Mepham and Kieffer Moore will begin their World Cup quest with Wales on Monday, but for the rest of Cherries’ players, they have been given some time off following the win over the Toffees.

The squad will then return to training for three to four weeks before the games begin again.

In that time, it is understood Cherries will head away for some warm weather training in Dubai.

The Athletic reports Cherries will make the flight to Dubai on November 30, before playing a friendly against Belgian top-flight side Royal Antwerp to round off their trip on December 4.

It is also claimed Cherries will then face two more friendlies in the UK, against opponents yet to be confirmed, before that trip to tackle Eddie Howe’s Newcastle in the cup. – Bournemouth Echo
