Kadamanja back on his feet

YADAH Stars defender, Brian Kadamanja, who was rushed to the hospital after a collision with his goalkeeper in their 0-1 loss against CAPS United on Saturday, is now back on his feet.

Kadamanja confirmed that he was discharged the same day at exactly 8pm.

A goalless draw against Makepekepe was in the picture on Saturday but Yadah’s ‘keeper misjudged Godknows Murirwa’s cross to collide with Kadamanja who headed into his own net.

That was the last contribution of the game for Kadamanja who was rushed to hospital after the incident.

“I’m now at home and still feeling a bit of pain but it’s no longer as serious as it was on Saturday.

“I was discharged from the hospital at around 8pm the same day and I think by the end of the day (Sunday) I will be fully fit.

“I don’t really know what happened, all I know is I was hit by the keeper on my neck and landed awkwardly but it’s one of the things which happens in football,” said Kadamanja.

The victory saw Makepekepe returning to winning ways as they ended their three-game winless streak.

CAPS United coach, Lloyd Chitembwe, clarified Joel “Josta” Ngodzo’s situation as he stated the he is better positioned to know what’s best for him.

Josta was also a notable figure in Chitembwe’s starting XI, ahead of Devon Chafa, who has been a regular feature.

“Josta is Josta, he brings in a lot of quality,” said Chitembwe.

“But you can’t play him when he is not in a very good condition.

“These things are well-calculated, we just don’t do things with emotions.

“At the end of the day, we do things with knowledge; that’s our job, to make decisions, some that are not so popular,”

He said they are now shifting their focus to their weekend’s assignment against Hwange.
