TINO KADEWERE’s nephew, Obey, returned home from a month-long trial with two European clubs.
Obey is the son of Tino’s late brother Prince.
And, it appears Tino is leaving no stone unturned in his campaign to get Obey into professional football by using his European connections.
The 19-year-old made his first stop in Spain where he tried his luck at Mallorca’s Division Two side.
Tino plays for this side’s first team in the Spanish top-flight league.
Obey rounded off his tour in Sweden at Djurgardens IF, the club where Tino made his first European breakthrough.
His guardian and agent, Prosper “Boss Pulo” Kadewere, said they received positive reports from both clubs.
“We received good reports from these clubs and chances are high that he might make his European breakthrough,” said Prosper.
“The boy is still young and he still has a lot to learn but we are just hoping for the best.
“We will keep you posted if there are any developments but, at the moment, he remains unattached to any team.”
Should any of the moves materialise, Obey will join players like Knowledge Musona, among the group of those who forced a move to a foreign club, without kicking a ball in the Castle Lager Premiership. Obey was at the Dynamos developmental side last season.
He was promoted to the senior team, just after the mid-season break, but he only trained with them without being registered.
Prosper said Obey was likely going to start training with either Dynamos or Yadah Stars, while weighing the options at their disposal.
