TINO Kadewere is staying in French Ligue 1 but it’s unlikely to be at his base at Olympique Lyon.
There were reports linking the Warriors star with a move to the Germany Bundesliga.
Sources close to the player told H-Metro Kadewere preferred to stay in France.
He is reported to be weighing offers from two teams – Brest and an unnamed club.
He has joined the Lyon pre-season camp and was among the first batch of players to train on Saturday.
Kadewere, who spent his off-season break with his family in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, recently returned to his base in France.
The Warriors striker met his teammates at the Groupama OL Training Centre where the players did physical tests and muscular work.
New signing, Alexander Lacazette, was also present on the first day of the pre-season camp.
Lacazette rejoined the club on a free transfer from Arsenal after spending five years in England. The arrival of the Frenchman has cast doubt on Kadewere’s future at the club.
The Zimbabwean struggled for game time in the previous campaign as he battled injuries and disruptions to his season.
This prompted the speculation he was set to leave the club.
